Who am I? I am a screwed-up blogger and an active blog reader since 2007. A soulful dreamer who believes that passion is life and a person who is looking for meaning, just like any other human being in this world. A super girl wannabe who is currently taking chances and chasing pavements, while keeping up with time and living life in general. This is me, and this blog is the outlet of my random thoughts. I am Eren Belle Hinaut Asentista, 19, from Dumaguete City. I am a 2nd year BSN student from Silliman University College of Nursing (SUCN). The eldest daughter of a family with 2 kids. I have one brother. His name's Erlo John, he's 16, and in senior high at present. You may call me "Eray". That's what most people call me. Some people also call me "Belle", and others "Eren", but it doesn't really matter much to me though.
When I was still a baby, they say I had the smallest eyes, and that I barely opened them. I was so hyper when I was younger. I loved to sing and to dance. I wonder where all of those things are right now? I musth've just hidden them somewhere. Haha! I've always been daddy's little girl. I'm closest to him, and I always turn to him when I have special requests. Haha! He's a good provider. He's very generous. He makes us laugh at times. He's very positive and bubbly. I think I got it from him. He's very good in history, math, arithmetic, logic, solving, and everything that revolves around critical thinking. His memory is not that bad for a 48-year-old.
I love to read books and to write about anything. Ever since grade school, I've been a member of the student publication. I've been news editor, feature editor, literary editor and copy editor. I wrote headlines as well. I joined severalwriting competitions before, and luckily, I also won some of them. One of my greatest ambitions when I was 10 years old was to get a Palanca Award, but the degree that I am currently working on right now in college is totally the opposite, so my goals and plans shifted just before graduating in high school. Nevertheless, my love for writing is always there. I was also active in the student government, where I was a representative for my year level earlier in high school. I joined so many organizations and clubs. I was part of the drama and the glee club. My high school batchmates, classmates and friends where good stage and play actors and actresses. We we're quite good in making presentations, skits, phantomimes and plays. I was member of the English club and the Social Studies society. I've been interested in history, geography, geology and astronomy ever since I was 8. My pappy influenced me alot to read about these subjects since I was younger. He's good in liberal sicences, social sciences and disciplines. I think I'm quite close. Hahaha! I was also a member of the Ladie's Circle because I consider myself a feminist, but I don't hate all the boys in this world. I just simply hate harsh, rude and disrespectful men because they're all over the place. Haha!
I am not a sports buff, but I am interested in badminton and soccer. I can play both. Most of my high school friends were really into soccer so they have influenced me a bit with this. When I was 10, I enrolled to swimming lessons because I developed a love for water sports at an early age. However, just last year, my otolaryngologist prohibited me to swim in waters above ear level ever since I got an ear infection. Apparently, because I am close to my pappy, we bond through watching basketball games, so I am quite familiar to the game and to the players. I've been watching NBA for as long as I can remember. Maybe at age 3 or 4. My pappy and I always tagged along in every NBA season year after year up to the championships. My younger brother also got interested in the game since he was a kid. Like me, he grew up watching basketball. My pappy, my brother and I were one of the many avid fans of the Bulls, particularly Jordan. That was such a long time ago. It brings a lot of memories. Later on, we shifted to the Lakers during the Kobe-Shaq tandem. But afterwards, we didn't have any particular favorites. Similarly, in soccer, the three of us are both David Beckham fans, and we really love Real Madrid. To bad Beckham left the team. During world cups, we stand by to watch the Brazillian team. We just love Brazil because of the pretty ladies from the Ipanema and of course, the world-famous "Havianas".
During my pastime, I just watch TV, play computer games, surf the net, watch DVDs and sleep, like most people my age. I also hang around with my friends once in a while to eat and talk and talk about things. I like collecting and hunting for wonderful finds and great buys, and my mum is my usual companion. She's not very stylish and trendy though like modern moms, however, she can carry herself well in different clothes. That's the common observation that my brother and I have noticed in her. My mom is like, for me, the best cook in the world. For me, no one can beat my mum's home cooking. The kitchen is her favorite sanctuary. During weekends, when she has no work, she cleans the house and we help her. Everyone in the family has his/her own share of housework because my mum trained us to be this way since I was in high school. We didn't get any house help because she wanted us to learn how to be independent. Growing up, I learned simple household chores like doing the laundry, ironing clothes, washing the dishes, and cleaning the house. I proud to say I can cook simple dishes. Haha! I first cooked "chop suey' when I was in second year high school but I perfected it one year after. However, my brother does this better than me. He's more interested to do kitchen work like my mum.
I love photography. I got interested to this when I was in the school paper way back in high school. I always wanted to be the photojournalist, but the position was never vacant. There were better photojournalists than me. It's one of my frustrations. Haha! Everytime I attempted to audition for the spot, everyone disapproved because they said they will loose a writer. I am also a music lover. I love music, but I don't listen to a particualr genree because I believe that if you love music, you can appreciate it in all its forms.
I am also close to my brother. I share a special kind of bond with him, not just because of the fact that we are just two in the family, but because we share almost the same interests. You'd be surprised to know that we sleep beside each other ever since we were young. We share a big bed. But just recently, he moved to another room. That really made me very sad. I was separated from him for the first time. When I was younger, I had a hard time sleeping when he was not around. My parents had to do this because he's already a grown-up. But we are still very close to each other. We support each other so much! I think that's what makes our relationship special compared to other siblings.
I'm a real tough person. I am very positive about life. I think that's what I like most about being me. I am flexible and I can deal with my emotions well. I know what my priorities are. I am very aware of my values and principles, and I'm very determined to reach my goals. I am very optimistic, and everytime I have problems, I'm not the type of person who worries a lot about what will happen tomorrow. I take things as they happen everyday, and I always make it a point to do something to make tomorrow better than yesterday - learning along the way. I have a big heart, and I don't mind giving what I have to other people as long as I am capable of giving it. I can laugh at my mistakes, forgive myself for being clumsy sometimes and most importantly, learn from them. I'm not a risk taker kind of person, but I am very determined to reach my goals. I want to become the best person that I could possibly ever be. I want to make my parents proud! Labels: me, myself and i..

The Blogger
Not a lot of people know (or would even understand), but I am also a victim of drama obsession. I've been camping in dramalandia since I was 13 years old, and that's where you will most likely find me when I have nothing to do.
One of the symptoms of this disease is daydreaming about dramas everywhere whether you are at work, walking down the stairs, sleeping, even as you are walking...creepy isn't it? Hahaha!
I am also a big Asian music fan and I think Asian music rocks! I go back and forth from Cpop to Kpop and Jpop, so I may be different (and strange) compared to other people that you can find around. I am an elder sister , a dreamer , a believer , a gamer , wanderer , blogger , an optimist , an ultimate foodie and a, hands down, fangirl . I love reading books , writing , music , photography and traveling.
I am a nurse by profession who is also a copy editor and a freelance writer . I enjoy learning how to play musical instruments and learning various languages . I am crazy, loud, spontaneous, free-spirited and most of the time, a klutz.
Eren Asentista a.k.a. Eray, 23, female, from Dumaguete City, Philippines. My personality...it's complicated. :D Believe me, you wouldn't want to know who I am. Hahaha! XD
I am currently watching...
In the coming days, I plan to watch...
In Asian Entertainment, I fancy...
(This is still lacking, but this is more or less it. LOL! I will most likely be updating this in the future to accommodate my growing list of biases but check em out!)

The things that I want to do before I die are the following:
An Asian cruise.
Templestay in Korea.
An African safari adventure.
Backpacking to Europe.
Traveling through the European railways.
