Who am I? I am a screwed-up blogger and an active blog reader since 2007. A soulful dreamer who believes that passion is life and a person who is looking for meaning, just like any other human being in this world. A super girl wannabe who is currently taking chances and chasing pavements, while keeping up with time and living life in general. This is me, and this blog is the outlet of my random thoughts. • #NowPlaying: Secret's "I Want You Back"
    Sunday, August 1, 2010 @ 10:33 PM | comment (0)

Just a few minutes ago, I was trying to organize my mixed up songs in playlists so that it would be easier to find them later on if they are arranged album wise and according to their genree. While I was going through a folder of KPop files, I accidentally played Secret's "I Want You Back". If you are a Kpop fan, or at a person quite aware of what has been happening to the KPop world at least, I'm sure you might have heard of this girl group. They have debuted not too long ago, and they have released their first album entitled "Secret Time" which includes this song months ago. This girl group is composed of 4 members namely Song Ji Eun, Jung Hyo Sung (former member of Five Girls) Zinger, and Sunhwa. The latter might be more familiar to most of you if you have been watching Korean variety shows because she is a notable member of G7 from "Invincible Youth" alongside 6 other famous members from different girl groups like Sunny Lee and Kwon Yuri (Girl's Generation/SNSD), Hyuna (4 Minute), Narsha (Brown Eyed Girls), Goo Hara (Kara) and Hyomin (T-ara).

Apart from "Magic", I haven't heard of any song from this album of theirs. Thankfully, I was able to do so today. I'm kind of surprised because this song is quite good coming from a relatively new girl group like them. I haven't really given much attention to Secret in the past. I was just like, "Okay...so it's a new girl group..." But then, this year, a lot of new KPop groups have debuted, and many few are still preparing to debut in the coming months. A lot of people are saying that the music industry has been pretty congested with all of the girl and boy groups coming out one after the other, making it a challenge for fans to keep up with the recent trends, which includes getting to know these newbies, as well as figuring out the kind of music that they can offer. Who knows, they might be the next best thing right? Therefore, this year, I promise that I will try to start to give attention these neophytes more. This song is actually the acoustic version to "I Want You Back". The original version is also good. Personally, I think both versions are. But I like the acoustic version better because it suits the the voices of these young ladies well.

This is the official music video to the song with english subtitles:
