Wu Chun and Rainie Yang's "Sunshine Angel" Reveals Drama Trailers

One of the most anticipated Chinese/TW dramas this year is about to premiere in mainland China's Hunan TV this coming July, and it stars none other than pretty boy Wu Chun of Taiwanese boy group Fahrenheit and the lovely Rainie Yang who just wrapped up the filming of the adorable drama, Drunken To Love You (Love You), alongside actor Joseph Chang a few weeks ago. The series is about to end as well, so it's definitely something I will have to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. Chun on the other hand is currently promoting My Kingdom (大武生) with Barbie Xu and Super Junior's former member now solo singer (Oh I always hate to say this...) Hangeng.

While most of the headlines in greater China these days are all about Chun's secret marriage to his alleged childhood sweetheart from a few years back plus baby issues, it is Chun's personal life. And whether he is really married with a kid or not, it is something I don't want to comment on because I respect his personal life and he has all the right to be happy in any way that he wants, just as long as no other people are involved (like third parties for example) because that would be really hateful. Though I would have probably jumped from my seat because of joy if he proclaimed that he was secretly married to Ella Chen of S.H.E., it's a topic that I just want to leave as is.

His recent leave from Fahrenheit is also another issue that has been on the headlines of most, if not all of the major newspapers in Taiwan. As many fans (and concerned citizens) are already curious on what to expect on Fahrenheit in the near future, the rumors and endless talks have been going on like wildfire for the last few weeks. Many speculations point out to the "secret wife + baby" as the main reason. Other sources on the other hand say that it's because his interest suddenly took a different course from singing in a group to concentrate better on his acting career, and to spend quality time with his uber rich family back in Brunei.

While Chun has been in the headlines due to not so good reasons these days, Rainie has had a fruitful 2010 and 2011 so far, after winning "Best Actress" from the Golden Bell Awards for television last 2009 for Hi! My Sweetheart with Show Luo. She is definitely on the top of her game these days, so calling this period as the "Rainie season" would not be an overstatement. Rainie has so far been impressing me from one drama to another because of how lovable she is, in every role that she plays. I also think she is a pretty good singer, so I have to give the credit to her, as I have been spinning her latest record recently as well.

In my previous posts, I have made mention that I adore Rainie Yang, and Chun's picture is in my list of male biases near the header of my Blogger site, so this is definitely something that I, as a fan, will be looking forward to next month. Sunshine Angel (陽光天使) is a rom-con with a story that will revolve around the life of a sole heir, a role that will be played by Wu Chun, who suddenly goes bankrupt. He will then cross paths with Rainie's character who is a fun-loving and quirky maid that will turn his life upside down.

The plot is quite predictable actually, but I have long promised myself that I won't have pre-conceived notions about it, ever. And that I will be watching it when it finally gets a premiere date, be it in mainland China or in TW, so I have been jumping for joy ever since I heard of the news, and I probably will remain ecstatic until the day I watch the first episode of the drama. Haha! XD

I honestly don't have that much expectations from the drama, but I will be watching it because of my love for Rainie and Chun. I am not a "Rainie-Chun shipper" because I haven't really seen them together in anything before (maybe except for variety shows and the like), but I have faith in the OTP and I have the feeling that they will be bringing a whole new level of "moments that pull at the heart" scenes, coupled with the feel-good and lighthearted vibe that I can directly sense from watching the trailers and the BTS videos alone. That in itself is awesome, so I am looking forward for Rainie and Chun to heat up the small screens pretty soon.

I don't have an idea on what kind of "chaebol-maid" story will be showcased for Sunshine Angel, but since I have watched and loved Show Luo and Barbie Xu's Corner With Love, and I loved Mike He and Janine Chang's Sunny Happiness even more, I will be watching the drama with an open mind and an accepting heart in terms of what the drama can possibly bring. In addition to that, Chun's former team members: Jiro WangCalvin Chen, and my favorite, Aaron Yan, will also be appearing in cameos for the drama. Though I don't know in what particular episode or scene, or if they will be appearing together or as individual characters, I hope that this will bring in more viewer ratings and boost the stellar power of the cast for the show even more. Lastly, Angela Zhang (yes, Chun's love interest in Romantic Princess) will also be making a cameo in the drama, so this will be really interesting to see. For my part, I sure am ready for more awesomeness this July! So to all drama fans (...and Rainie and Chun fans) out there, get ready for one hell of a ride because the day after today is already the first of July. Yay! ^    ^
