Finally, a kind of music I have been waiting for in Kpop for the longest time has emerged!
It's true that Kpop these days is saturated with upbeat and catchy autotuned tracks (not that I am complaining or I don't like it), so it's always good to hear something mellow yet rockish from time to time. It's a genre in music that I actually like and would never get tired to listen to ever since. Apart from the singers who are really into rock music or underground and indie bands for that matter, I don't think there has been a Kpop idol who has pursued it as his or her kind of music. Sure there are bands like FT Island and CNBLUE (bands I adore) who comes close to the description, but a solo singer who comes from an idol group who has a huge following is something that is definitely unexpected.

2AM has been known for their amazing vocal talents ever since they debuted. Most of you should know that they used to be part of One Day, a project group that once consisted 11 members Park Jinyoung (founder and president of JYP Entertainment) formed himself. They later on debuted as 2PM and 2AM who were designated as a dance and ballad group, respectively. While 2PM was composed of 7 (now 6) members, 2AM has 4. They are Jo Kwon, Seulong, Changmin and finally, the maknae (youngest member), Jinwoon.
Jinwoon recently revealed the music video to his first solo song, You Walking Toward Me. The video contains a BTS footage of the recording of the song and his recently concluded performance at the Jisan Valley Rock Festival not too long ago. The video is actually plain and simple, but it fits Jinwoon's song to a T. I like the fact that he has a particular leaning and interest to this kind of music because it has been a long time since I have listened a good alternative track in Kpop. The song has a good melody (I like the melancholic feel) and I am feeling Jinwoon's voice. This guy is really talented, and I must say that I am looking forward for his future endeavors and more songs of this kind in Kpop.
