Gosh! I'm so in love with this couple! Anybody out there who watches I Might Not Love You (In Time With You) every Sunday like me? Of course, Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng is my favorite OTP in the TW drama world (Van Ness Wu and Ady An in second place, Mike He and Janine Chang in third place, Show Luo and Rainie in fourth place, and rounding out the top five spot is Fahrenheit's Wu Chun and S.H.E.'s Ella Chen), but I can't help but ship this adorable couple right here, because they are making every Sunday since their drama premiered last week ,worthwhile. I used to hate Sundays because even though it's family day and there's no school or work on that day, the next day after that would automatically be Monday, and Mondays always suck. But this drama makes me look forward for Sundays all the time. Ariel and Bolin's chemistry may not be as amazing as what Ariel and Joe had, but I like the fact that their love story in IMNLY/ITWY is not so much on the sugar-coated side, but rather tells a more realistic story about two individuals who are torn in love. Yes, it's quite different from most TW dramas in recent years, but it's in the good kind of "different" category. After watching Mike and Janine's Sunshine Happiness, I wanted more TW dramas like it to follow suit—not so cheesy and mushy but with the right balance of fluff, romance and depth.
Before Ariel and Bolin filmed the series, they actually filmed a movie called Lovesick (Love Phobia) and I didn't hear so much about it until it was revealed that Li Yi Feng (Yes, that cute guy from the Happiness trilogy!) would be thrown in as the third wheel in the movie. From the teaser alone and thestills, it's obvious that he will play as the tough ex-boyfriend. I heard he will play the role of a rocker, which is something that suits him well since he is a also a singer in real life. But I wish he won't play second lead all the time because I have this tendency to adore second leads more than the main male leads of dramas, no matter how adorable the main OTPs are. The "second male lead syndrome" is always a bummer especially when adorable actors are casted for these roles and in the end, they don't get the girl. With that said, I hope the PD-nims and writer-nims give him a leading role soon. :)
I found some stills of both Ariel and Bolin and Ariel and Li Yi Feng. I don't know what OTP is more adorable to you (I'm also having a hard time figuring out myself since I love both guys), so I guess I'll have to watch the movie before deciding who's better for Ariel. But then again, I may not be able to chose any of them after all in the end.
Bolin, on the other hand, reminds me so much of Super Junior's Kim Kibum. I don't know why, but it's how I feel when I look at him. I don't know if it's just me but he has this smile that resembles that of Kibum's. He also has this baby face like Kibum and his stature is similar to his, or am I just being delusional? LOL! Either way, he looks good. He's really cute! And I have decided to finally start shipping him and Ariel from now on. Now, if you haven't watched the drama IMNLY/ITWY, I recommend that you start watching it now. My Sundays have become so much brighter because of this drama and I hope that it'll be the same for you. :)
