Profile

Who am I? I am a screwed-up blogger and an active blog reader since 2007. A soulful dreamer who believes that passion is life and a person who is looking for meaning, just like any other human being in this world. A super girl wannabe who is currently taking chances and chasing pavements, while keeping up with time and living life in general. This is me, and this blog is the outlet of my random thoughts. One of the universal virtues that everyone should uphold and practice is respect, regardless of race, color, origin, social status, position or rank and seniority.  It is a fundamental virtue that most people, if not all, generally acknowledges, transcending differences in culture, traditions, beliefs, practices and religion. Respect breeds respect, and in order to be respected, you have to respect every other human being as a person with dignity and worth—a person who is capable of thinking, making decisions and feeling emotions. It is not easy to earn nor easy to give. What a person sows is what he reaps, and what one gives away will always find its way back. How one treats others is a reflection of who he is as a person; every word spoken and every action will always be remembered and etched in the minds of those who have been hurt.

If you have been hurt, you have to believe that whether that was intentional or not, you don't deserve to be treated like a piece of trash. Like any other human being, you have to be respected, and you have to know where you stand. You have to know that you are right and that you deserve so much better. You have to know that you have not done anything to be treated unfairly and that you tried your best to understand, but it didn't come as easy as it seemed.

You have to believe that you are a strong, wise, unique and capable individual. You are, in so many ways, different compared to everybody else because you were endowed with a different set of capabilities and potentialities compared to other individuals who have the same physiological make-up as you. You have to believe that you are amazing and that nobody should walk all over you. You have to know that a person can't just say anything as he pleases, especially if it will hurt you. Your flaws  and imperfections can never measure what your worth as a person is. You are so much more than that. You are the captain of your ship and the master of your soul. Nobody knows yourself better but you.

You have to realize that there are a lot of things that you cannot change and that there are a lot of people who cannot be changed. They will continue doing the things that they think are right, but you always have the option to step out of their shadows and go somewhere else where they won't follow. You have to understand that some people think differently compared to others and that whatever their motives or reasons are, they are the real victims of the realities that they created. They will have to face the consequences of their actions one of these days. Not now, maybe not tomorrow or next week or not in a month or a year from now, but sooner or later, they will.

You have to understand that life in itself is complicated and so are the people around you. You have to be more forgiving, more understanding, more accepting, more considerate and more open, but you should not compromise your values and stoop down to the level of the people who can't be bothered with anything. You don't have to please them to make them happy, and you don't have to be somebody else just to be appreciated. Shift your focus to the more important things in life, and ignore the others who are making things more difficult instead of helping even a single bit. You have to know that you tried your best and did your part. Sometimes, you have to know when enough is enough because if you don't,  they will continue to walk all over you. You have to know when exactly to walk away so that you can finally be happy. You have to trust and have faith in yourself. Move forward without any regrets and without ever having to look back to the people who have caused you pain along the process. Yes, some things are not meant to be because greater things are yet to come, and the possibilities are endless. Find your place in the sun, and don't allow yourself to be confined in a place that impedes your growth.

To those who walk all over other people, the world doesn't belong to you nor does it revolve around you. You are not the center of the solar system, and the rotation of the planets will not be altered or misaligned if you disappear from the face of the earth. If you wish to be respected, build your reputation from scratch. Treat people well, and everything will follow. A person worthy of respect will always be respected without even asking for it. You have to realize that the world is round (technically, spherical) and anything can happen. You may be able to do so much right now, but that won't make you happy and that won't make you a better person either. x
