  • Girls' Generation Forms a Sub-Unit Called "TaeTiSeo"
    Friday, April 20, 2012 @ 1:26 AM | comment (0)

A sub-unit with three of the most vocally talented Girls' Generation members? Honestly, I never saw this coming, but I am kind of looking forward to see what kind of music they will make. Girls' Generation has always been a promising girl group to start with because of the diverse qualities of its members, and I would like to commend SM for the brilliant idea. The girls have been pretty busy with their individual activities lately. Members Yoona, Jessica, and Yuri have all been pretty much involved in the acting world recently, starring for popular dramas with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Yoona, the first member who ventured into acting in 2008, is now appearing with Jang Geun Seuk in Love Rain. This year, she was joined by Jessica who starred in the drama Wild Romance with Lee Dong Wook and Lee Si Young and Yuri who is currently starring in the highly-rated drama Fashion King with Yoo Ah In, Shin Se Kyung, and Lee Jae Hoon. The fourth member who is set to join the aforesaid three's ranks is Sooyoung, who will be starring in an upcoming medical drama which is still on production. Members Hyoyeon and Sunny, who are both permanent cast members of the variety show Invincible Youth 2, are active in the variety arena on the other hand. Sunny, in addition, has a musical entitled Catch Me If You Can alongside SM Entertainment labelmates Dana of CSJH, Kyuhyun of Super Junior, and Key of SHINee. Lastly, members Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun are currently MCs of the popular MBC music show Music Core, and these three are the members of the upcoming Girls' Generation sub-unit which will be called Taetiseo (Tae for Taeyeon, Ti for Tiffany, and Seo for Seohyun).

This is kind of surprising, but it's something a company like SM Entertainment often does. In Kpop, the first ever group who formed sub-units is Super Junior. The group has five sub-units to date since their debut in 2005, and they are Super Junior KRY (the ballad unit), Super Junior T (the trot unit), Super Junior H or Happy (the unit who sings bubbly and feel good songs), Super Junior M (the unit who was formed to target the Chinese market), and most recently, the amazing duo of members Donghae and Eunhyuk. Some Super Junior members were also involved in project groups with other SM artists. Kyuhyun was with TRAX's Jay, SHINee's Jonghyun, and Jino in SM The Ballad, while Heechul was in a project duo with TRAX's Jungmo in M&D. Now, it's the turn of the girls to grab the spotlight, and what better way to do that than to have selected members of Girls' Generation do it.

Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun are three of the most vocally talented Girls' Generation members alongside Jessica and Sunny. All five of them are considered the main vocals of the group. I personally like all three's voices in varying degrees. Taeyeon for the clarity and range of her voice, Tiffany for her husky voice, and Seohyun for her versatile voice. All three are good singers, and choosing between them is just as difficult as picking who the prettiest one among the three is. Although I have my personal favorites in Girls' Generation, I think all of them are equally talented and amazing in their own ways.

This sub-group is definitely promising because it looks like they will be presenting a new and different sound compared to Girls' Generation's music as a group to Kpop listeners all over the world. As early as now, I am looking forward for a lot of wonderful and heartfelt ballads and maybe a little bit of jazz or acoustic tunes here and there. More than the concept or whatever, I just want to hear good music, and that's all that should matter. x

SMTOWN Reveals the MV for "Santa U Are The One" by Super Junior
    Tuesday, December 13, 2011 @ 9:54 PM | comment (0)

Riding on the bandwagon of companies releasing their very own Christmas singles and albums is the notable SM Entertainment, which released their much-anticipated Christmas (or winter) album today. It has been two years since SM released their last winter album, so it was somehow anticipated by many this time around. The powerhouse agency and its artists really did well this year, so an album like this is also a way of saying thank you to their fans for showing them a lot of love this year (Heh. More of like another expense). The title song of the album, by the way, was sung by resident SM boy group and Hallyu Wave leader, Super Junior. I don't know why, but that was, nevertheless, a wise choice. And I applaud SM for that. At last!

Even though Super Junior sang the song, their labelmates Kangta, BoA, TVXQCSJH, SNSD, SHINee, f(x) and Zhang Li Yin can also be seen in the video. The song is great too! I initially thought they were going to sing it in Korean, so I was like, "Oh okay, Fingers crossed." But when I heard Kyuhyun sing, I immediately went, "Nawwww! It's English," and turned the volume of my laptop to a hundred percent to listen intently. LOL! This might sound crazy, but I didn't really understand what language they were singing (not until I reached the pre-chorus part). Haha! But then much to my surprise, I actually found it to my liking. "Engrish" usually annoys  the hell out of so many people in the K world, but after listening to it, it wasn't so bad after all. Yes, there were flaws here and there, but that was I think what made it extra cute. The final verdict: Everything's forgivable, and it's a happy song that is meant to be enjoyed during this time of the year.

The Christmas season is always merry with an SJ song, so what more is there to ask for? Plus, there's Henry and Zhou Mi in the video too!  And thank God because it's about damn time. *Hope SM reveals the MVs of the other singers as well. Now, Imma back to listen to the rest of the songs in the album.*

BoA's Music Video to her Japanese Single "Milestone" Revealed
    Tuesday, November 22, 2011 @ 9:19 PM | comment (0)

The "Kpop Queen" is back! Not for a full-length studio album, but for  her latest Japanese single entitled Milestone. Because BoA was busy filming her upcoming Hollywood dance movie that is expected to come out early next year, it's been a while since she released a new record after her successful Korean comeback last 2010 with the album Hurricane Venus. Her title track for that best-selling album also had the same title. It was a comeback after five years of being away from her homeland, so it was, nevertheless, highly anticipated. Since that album, I have been longing to listen to something new from her. She has always been amazing, and I am a big fan. More than her powerful dance songs, I am more of a sucker for her ballads. LOL! With all honesty, most of her ballad songs occupy the top 30 most played tracks in my playlist. Some of those songs even date back to some ten years ago from her earlier albums. That's right! I've been listening to her for a long time already.

I may have probably mentioned this before in my posts that one of my favorite Kpop songs of all time is Waiting. It was a ballad (about someone leaving suddenly without a word) that was released shortly after her debut. Until now, I still love that song! And that is something that no autotune or heavily synthesized Kpop track can beat, not even in a million years. Haha! My heart has a soft spot for her ballads because of reasons that I am not even certain myself. There's just something about BoA and her ballads that is magical. Whenever she sings a song, she always sings them with the right emotion and gusto. Her passion and dedication for music and for her craft is beyond amazing! Well, what do you expect? She has been around the industry since she was 13 and she has been making a mark in every step of her way.

My brother, who is not even a Kpop or an Asian music fan whatsoever, even likes her. He's like the biggest BoA fan, but she's probably the only Asian singer that he knows (and likes) apart from her SM Entertainment labelmate Super Junior (which bugs him because I spazz about them every single day). He doesn't know a single Korean word expect, maybe, "Hello", but he can sing Waiting from start to finish flawlessly  and effortlessly like a true-blue Kpop fan. (He even beats me in the delivery and overall feel. ROFL!) I even remember him bugging his friends to listen to the song a lot of times in the past. I don't know if he managed to even convert them (as BoA fans) in the long run, but if there's one thing that I am sure of, I know that because of the initial interest that they had in BoA's songs, they still listen to Kpop and Asian music until now.

Another favorite song of mine would have to be Stand By (Person Beside You) from her fifth Korean album that was released last year (Hurricane Venus). It was a beautiful song written by singer-songwriter Kim Dong Ryul and it is a heartbreaking story about a girl who is caught up in a one-sided love affair. It's a very painful song, if I may say, and I love how BoA sang it from start to finish. There are so many songs from her albums that I love, and I am always looking forward to listen to what she will come up next in the near future. This song, like most of her ballads, is a win right off the bat. I was actually  lucky enough to listen to this song even before the music video came out, and even though it was a short radio rip from a random Japanese music station, I knew right then and there that it would be amazing.

So check out the MV and the Japanese and translated English lyrics to Milestone below!

    自分のことでさえ 分からないのに
I don’t even know about myself
    あなただけに全て 分かってほしいなんて
I just want to know all about you only
    言えないの知ってるけど
Although I can’t say it out,I know it
    白い吐息を形にできたとしたら 伝わるかな
if the white breath takes a shape, I wonder if it will convey to you
    季節が移るたびに世界が
every time the season changes, the world
    感覚を追い越して行く
    gets ahead of the feeling
    そんな想いさえも
    Even such thought
    瞬きの間の刹那に消えて行く
    disappears in a blink
    気づかずにいられれば
    That would be good
    それで良かった
if I existed without being noticed
    立ち止まればふと冬の毳
when I stop and stand there, the fuzz of winter suddenly comes

    季節が移るたびに世界が
every time the season changes, the world
    感覚を追い越して行く
    gets ahead of the feeling
    そんな想いさえ消えないように
I wish only such thought wouldn't vanish
    体に 心に刻んで行く
etched in my body and heart

now hang on to this world
    すごく早いから
As the time is still young
    涙も笑顔も忘れないように・・・
I wish I won’t forget both the tears and smiles

    季節が移るたびに世界が
even if every time the season changes, the world
    感覚を追い越してどうしても
    gets ahead of the feeling

    揺るぎのない胸の my heart
My heart will never be shaken
    そのたび 私が刻むから
Because I keep a record every time

SNSD's Sooyoung Pens a Beautiful Song for SNSD's Third Full-Length Album
    Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 10:55 PM | comment (0)

Lately, I've been listening to SNSD's latest and third full-length album, The Boys. The girls recently made a comeback in Korea after a year since their last mini-album, Hoot. They were active in Japan during the first half of the year and they have had a very busy yet fulfilling 2011 even though there are more or less two months left until the year comes to a close. Their latest album contains 12 songs with Teddy Riley-penned The Boys as their title track that was released both in Korean and English this week. With all honesty, the song has to grow on me yet, so I can't say that I like it as early as now. Although I don't hate it, I must say that I still have to get used to it. Maybe in the coming days. LOL! I am not a fan of SNSD per see; I actually am an ELF, but I don't hate SNSD. I have listened to most of their songs since they debuted and I have some personal favorites from their previous albums as well. From a Kpop fan's perspective, I think they have grown a lot since 2007, and they are on full bloom at the moment.

I'm not saying that I hate The Boys, but I honestly like the other tracks in their third full-length album better than their title track. Two of my personal favorites are Sunflower and How Great Is Your Love. How Great Is Your Love is of particular interest because it was written by none other than SNSD member Sooyoung. She is not my favorite member of the group, but she is really outgoing and friendly. The song is very beautiful and it reminds me of those dramas that I used to watch during spring when I was a lot younger. Since winter is coming in most parts of the world except in where I am located, when I am listening to this song, it brings back a lot of memories. I just love the overall feel of the song! :) Sooyoung definitely did a great job. Although it's random, I am reminded of another SNSD member's (Yuri) self-composed track, Mistake. It was for their Hoot mini-album that was released around this time as well. It was a beautiful song, and I'm sure a lot of people was able to relate to it in one way or another after it hit the airwaves last year. While Yuri's song gives the feeling of heartbreak and regret, Sooyoung's song, on the other hand, gives the feeling that love is supposed to be a happy feeling and that loving in general is a happy and a wonderful experience. Check it out below!

    Super Junior's "A-CHA" MV Out!
    Thursday, September 29, 2011 @ 10:06 PM | comment (0)

Because I did not want to be disappointed, I did not expect that much from this MV. Yes, I was excited and all, but it’s because of the sole reason that I adore these boys. After watching the teaser, I was back to my old Suju-deprived fangirl self again, and at that very moment, I already started to prepare myself because I knew that I would be squealing alone in my room like a lunatic when the full MV drops. LOL!

Being in this fandom for years, even though these boys have been receiving so much hate and criticism from antis for their same-sounding title tracks and their identical MVs since Sorry Sorry, I could not find any fault in them. Maybe I’m just so biased, but it’s not really their fault. It’s their label’s! So instead of complaining, I just want to enjoy what is being served on the dinner table.

SM videos, in general, have been going downhill in recent years, and I can’t blame people for hating on that aspect because I also dislike it myself. I believe that the problem doesn’t lie on the budget per see, but it’s the lack of creativity. It doesn’t have to be an MV with a plot all the time, but shouldn’t they at least consider outdoor sets more than those recycled indoor sets?

If it’s your bias group, everything that they do is always perfect (at least in your eyes). It’s not the best Suju MV out there, and I don’t think A-Cha is the best follow-up song either. It’s something that I have to get used to yet, but I am embracing this new thing right here with an open mind. I don’t know how other fans like me (or haters) think about the MV, but the boys, their talent and their overflowing charisma is more than enough for me. It’s a good thing that they’re Super Junior, because I don’t think any group for that matter can manage to stand out even in the plainest of MVs, which was the case in Bonamana.

Dayum! These ahjusshis are looking hotter than ever. :)

Super Junior Drops the MV Teaser to "A-CHA"
    Friday, September 23, 2011 @ 6:51 PM | comment (0)

SM Entertainment has finally revealed the MV teaser to Super Junior's next track. I have waited for this since the 19th, after their repackaged album was released, but there were no signs of life on the SM YouTube page these past few days. The channel was  literally peaceful and quiet and the only activity were from the annoyed fans who commented stuff like, "Heyyy SM! Where are the videos?"LOL! (The fans definitely have this love-hate relationship with the company. Haha!)

So far, I have been enjoying every single song in the repackaged album. The songs are very different from each other and yet, individually good to listen to. I'm not really fond of the title track, honestly. It has to grow on me yet, and I have to see the music video first before anything else. It's also something new for the group, and I'm sure many will be happy that they are not returning with an autotune song this time around. They also have this collab song with f(x), which is not really perfect in every way, but is interesting because of the witty lyrics, which was personally penned by the talented Suju members themselves. However, the two ballad songs stood out for me right then and there. Andante was beautiful (maybe I should write a separate post for this one...depends if I have enough time), and A Day was good. Hearing Heechul's voice all of a sudden definitely made me smile. :) With all of that said, I just can't wait for the full music video of A-CHA to be unveiled. (^___^)

Check out the MV teaser for the follow-up track to Mr. Simple, which is A-CHA, in the video below!

BTW, the boys are looking mighty fine. *gasps for air*
    Ahhh...today's definitely a good one. :)

Why are Sad, Tearjerker Kpop Music Videos Loved?
    Sunday, September 18, 2011 @ 11:57 PM | comment (0)

There has been a lot of stir in Kpoplandia this week. Actually, a lot of things happened during this whole time that I was paying less attention to majority of Kpop's latest album releases. While I was busy doing pretty much everything for the last three weeks or so, I've decided to spend more time camping in dramalandia because of the pending episodes of certain dramas that I have neglected to watch for months. I marathoned  every single pending episode everyday, so I became pretty much screwed and disgruntled myself because I had to submit articles  on a daily basis to save up for my upcoming expenses. Haha! In addition to that, I have also alloted more time to read  because I've been missing out on a lot of the new good books since the first half of the year.

A few good Kpop MVs were revealed this week (mostly from singers who are making a comeback), and although this is just my observation, I have noticed that most of them are in the melodrama side.  A solid storyline (mostly sad, related to love, frienship or family) = check! A cast of brilliant, captivating and breathtakingly gorgeous actors and actresses = check! Good cinematography and artsy directing = check. Moments that pull at the heart = check!  Trademark K drama elements (piggyback ride, back hug, biking together, OBT around the famous Han River, fab dinner dates in the most expensive restos with matching 3-piece orchestra in the background,  desperate and frustrated damsels in distress trying to commit suicide by jumping from a tall building, gangsters and goons, somebody dying at the end of the story...and the list goes on!) = check! As long as you have all of these, believe me, you will never go wrong.

This should not be a surprise to most people because this is something that is common in Kpop. Kpop MVs in general have this leaning to produce MVs that are equally as brilliant and stunning as high-budget movies and dramas and they do it quite well. You know those moments that pull at the heart? (Oh , here we go again!) Haha! The delivery of the lines and the execution of certain scenes also make them all the more unforgettable to melodrama aficionados, which pretty much answers the fascination that the general public has for these kind of productions.

This week, we have three new "sad" MVs from singers who have been acknowledged for their singing prowess. Long before the  expansion and globalization of the glitz and glamor that is Kpop, most of the jukebox hits, I believe, were ballads.  Most of the singers that I will be talking about in this post have also been singing ballads even before I  learned about Kpop, so songs coming from these people are guaranteed hits.

    JYJ's In Heaven

Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu (also known as JYJ) are coming back for their new Korean album titled In Heaven. These guys were originally from boy group TVXQ, which is now a duo that consists of Yunho and Changmin, after they left from former mangement agency SM Entertainment. TVXQ debuted in 2003 as a five-member acapella group and they have the biggest fanbase (in Kpop) all over the world, which is according to a reliable source, composed of more than 800,000 people. TVXQ are the idols to beat as far as singing, dancing and performing in general are concerned. I have heard of them shortly after their debut, but I wasn't a Kpop fan at that time yet. Despite that, I've always admired and respected these guys. When I  finally got into a Kpop fandom in 2006 (I'm an ELF BTW), they were probably the biggest and most popular group at that time. They sang both powerful dance songs and wonderful ballads. All the members are very talented, so I naturally became their fan while I was learning about them and their music at the same time.

Even though the original members of the group are promoting as two separate teams at the moment, both groups are still making good music in its  truest sense. I have listened to all the songs in JYJ's latest album and it's my favorite JYJ album to date. The music video to In Heaven, one of the most loved tracks in the album was just unleashed recently, following the release of their album with more than 300,000 pre-orders in a day, which ultimately caused servers to crash.

These three are so talented that they are not only certified hitmakers, but also staple faces in the entertainment industry. Yoochun and Jaejoong are currently one of the most sought-after leading mens in the business. Their every move is always a hot topic, and every series or movie that they do is always a hit. Junsu, on the other hand, is an acclaimed musical actor. He is one of Kpop's best vocalists and he is also the main lead of their In Heaven music video. It also stars actress Song Ji Hyo (Goong/Princess Hours, Frozen Flower, Wishing Stairs), who together with Junsu, make a really beautiful couple in the MV.

    Check it out below!

    Huh Gak's Hello

Huh Gak was the grand prize winner of the talent search Superstar K2 on cable channel Mnet. After winning the competition, he was awarded a recording contract plus other big prizes and is currently under A Cube Entertainment, a sub-label of Cube Entertainment. Huh Gak is a really good singer. His singing voice is especially good with ballads because his voice is clear and he has a good diction. His MV features a slew of popular young stars namely actress Kang Sora, that cute guy from Heartstrings who has a very good singing voice (I'm sorry, I don't know his real name. LOL!) and boy group BEAST's Junhyung. Junhyung is one of my favorite BEAST members (the other one being Gi Kwang) and I think he did a great job in the MV. It's sad that he didn't get the girl in the MV, but that's okay because he has KARA's Goo Hara in real life anyway.

    Check it out below!

    Sung Si Kyung's Even Now

Sung Si Kyung is one of Korea's most reknowned ballad singers. His first album was released in 2001 and he has been a well-loved singer ever since his debut. While watching a ton of Super Junior variety shows over the last 6 years or so, I've learned about Sung Si Kyung because of Super Junior's youngest member Kyuhyun. The latter always mentions him as one of the few senior singers that he idolizes the most. Out of curiousity, I looked him up on Soribada at that time and that was how I learned about him and his music. I personally like him because of his dreamy and soothing voice. He has a lot of good songs too and is labelled as the "King of Ballads." For this MV, he stars with beautiful actress Jo Yeo Jeong.

    Check out the MV below!

I have noticed that even if a plot gets recycled for the hundreth time, no matter how old it is or how familiar we are of a certain story (especially in the case of  book, manga and manhwa adaptations that are being remade over and over again in various countries), we will always embrace it because it pulls at our heartstrings. Ballad songs also go well with sad MVs, don't they? In order to spice up and raise the quality and market value of a ballad song about, say for example, heartbreak, a melodrama MV is always a good way to go.

Super Junior Marks Comeback with the Release of the MV to "Mr. Simple"
    Thursday, August 4, 2011 @ 9:41 PM | comment (0)

The day I have waited for has finally arrived! Super Junior's music video to Mr. Simple, the title track of their fifth album, has finally been unveiled. The revelation of their latest song's MV was done through a press conference in a hotel in Seoul where press people from different parts of Asia and the rest of the world attended to cover the event, owing to the group's global reach and large following. It was attended by the ten active Super Junior members out of the original 13 and it is currently the talk of the town among many Kpop fans all over the world in various Kpop blogs, online communities, fan sites, forums and social networking sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter and of course...Tumblr).

Ever since the MV was revealed a few hours ago, Mr. Simple has been trending at the top 10 TTs worlwide in twitter even up to this now. This was reminiscent of what happened during their previous comeback in 2010 for Bonamana where they were in the top trending topics worldwide for almost a month because of fans who were excited for their return at that time. I am also wondering how long they will trend this time myself, since this comeback is a lot bigger in scale than their previous one. I'm not saying that their "Bonamana comeback" wasn't as big as it is now, but considering the fact that both Leeteuk and Heechul will be soon going to the army, it has been reported that it will most likely take a longer time for the group to release another album in the future, so their fans (both Korean and international) are giving all the support that they can give to the boys right now. Various fan projects such as food support in various Suju-dedicated sites and massive bulk ordering are currently underway just to make sure that this comeback will be just as successful as their previous ones.

As for their music video, although I admit that I was not a hundred percent satisfied with what I saw, I am glad because there are so many improvements visually, and the overall appeal of the video has gone up to a higher level this time around. Although I am not disappointed with the boys (Well you can give them anything anyday and they can turn anything from scratch to flawless. That's how talented the boys are! :D), I must admit that I am quite disappointed with SM, and that is because I expected more from the video because of the amazing teasers that were revealed beforehand. I was expecting something as epic as TVXQ's Before You Go, but nevertheless, the talent of the members still managed to trump everything in the end. The choreography was surprisingly good. Some routines were clearly recycled from both Sorry Sorry and Bonamana, but Super Junior makes every routine look daebak so I have to give it to the boys. All of the members have also contributed to the choreography of the song in one way or another, so it's good to see them take control like that and let their talents shine.

To sum it all up, although many people say that the song is a recycle of Sorry Sorry and Bonamana to the nth time, I have to say that like the song. Although at first, I admit that I wasn't feeling it, but after putting the song on replay mode for like three times (yes, that soon!) and watching the video, I was like, "This is actually good." With that said, I am looking forward to all their comeback stages starting tomorrow up to Sunday. Well of course, an ELF will always be an ELF. That's something that will never ever change. :)

Check out the music video for yourself below!

SM Entertainment Reveals Two MV Teasers for Super Junior's "Mr. Simple"
    Monday, August 1, 2011 @ 10:59 PM | comment (0)

I don't know how to describe how awesome today was. There's only an hour or so left until the stroke of midnight, and we already have two music video teasers for Mr. Simple released, while we await for the full MV that is scheduled to drop tomorrow. Apart from Super Junior's highly-anticipated comeback this week, many Kpop fans all over the world (like myself!) are also rejoicing after the longest-running Kpop boy group Shinhwa revealed today that they are coming back on March next year. Now how epic is that? If both H.O.T. and G.O.D. (two other legendary Kpop boy groups) follows suit according to what various sources are saying, then we will have an awesome "big three" reunion coming next year, so I must say that I can't wait for 2012 to come.

Going back to Super Junior, SM Entertainment has unveiled not just one but two MV teasers today. The teasers are I swear, EPIC! (Totally in a non-fangirl way. Hehe. ^   ^) My three immediate thoughts were: the boys look gorgeous as hell, the teaser videos look promising and I can't wait for my pre-ordered 5jib to arrive. Haha! When I was watching the first teaser (and also the second), I tried to set aside my bias for the group and tried to rate it objectively. You bet, I was already suppressing my inner fangirl self (LOL at my raging fangirl hormones!) but I guess it couldn't be helped. The teasers were way beyond amazing! Something I did not expect after the ever so colorful teaser photos from out of nowhere that SM was trying to call, "UBERSEXUAL." LOL! Not that I am bashing the teaser photos. I actually like the new concept because of its uniqueness. (It's just that many people are complaining about how "gay" the members look, which is kind of upsetting because I know they are better than that.)

The first teaser features the vocals of resident SM songwritter Yoo Young Jin who also wrote some of the biggest Super Junior hits in the past like Sorry Sorry and Bonamana. He also wrote a few other tracks for other SM artists like SNSD, SHINee and TVXQ. He is an amazing songwritter to be honest, so it is my fervent hope for this album to be as successful (or even more successful) as the past Super Junior albums. The second one is more of like the real teaser for the full MV in itself and it exudes a mysterious vibe so I am totally digging it! I honestly don't know where all the colorful outfits went, and I don't know if they will be wearing them in the music video (Oh I hope not! LOL!), but as far as this comeback thing is going, for me, it's a WIN! Well, what is there left to say? Looking forward for the full MV tomorrow! :)

Super Junior's Fifth Album Image Teasers Out, Inkigayo Comeback Teaser for Next Week Revealed
    Sunday, July 31, 2011 @ 4:58 PM | comment (0)

Are you ready for THE RETURN OF THE SUPERIOR?

Mega Kpop boy group Super Junior will be coming back next week for their highly anticipated fifth album, Mr. Simple, with a title track of the same name. The individual teasers of all the members have been unveiled including a group photo, which seems to be one of their upcoming album's jacket photos. As a fan, I am both excited and nervous for this comeback (This better be better than 4 jib! Haha!) because of the public's divided opinion after all the teasing that SM Entertainment has done these past few days. The image teasers of the members were revealed one after the other every day since the 20th through Super Junior's official site and facebook page. And it has been revealed that apart from the theme "The Return of the Superior," their fifth album's concept is said to be "Ubersexual," which according to SM is "being stylish and masculine, yet sexy and suave."

It is actually a big change from their previous album concepts for the last 6 years, and it's  a relief that they stayed away from the "dark" concept once and for all! Haha! In the past, I have heard a lot of people complaining about why their stylists make them wear something black or white all the time (because it was becoming plain and boring to look at), so I am glad that something else is being presented to the general public's eyes. There are more colors this time and it looks promising as early as now because it is something that has not been done before by any other group, so I am up for it! I don't want to be bias, but I think I am going to give this new album's concept a thumbs up for being distinct and intriguing at the same time. Excuse my love for SUJU (coughs...), but I think nobody will be able to pull this off better than the boys themselves; so check out the teaser photos below!

    EUNHYUK

    DONGHAE

    LEETEUK

    SHINDONG

    KYUHYUN

    SUNGMIN

    RYEOWOOK

    YESUNG

    SIWON

    HEECHUL

Of course, I don't want to miss out on Hangeng, Kangin and Kibum's fanmade teaser photos too! As much as I want all 13 of them back, it's something that is quite impossible to happen right now. (Perhaps in the future it can. *God-willing...*) Because even if the world stops right now, they will always be Super Junior. And like what Leeteuk said, "Once a member of Super Junior, always a member of Super Junior!" (Very well said Oppa! :D)

    HANGENG

    KANGIN

    KIBUM

And oh! SBS Inkigayo has also unveiled their comeback trailer for next Sunday's upcoming performance so check it out below!
