Who am I? I am a screwed-up blogger and an active blog reader since 2007. A soulful dreamer who believes that passion is life and a person who is looking for meaning, just like any other human being in this world. A super girl wannabe who is currently taking chances and chasing pavements, while keeping up with time and living life in general. This is me, and this blog is the outlet of my random thoughts. (^___^)
Most of the posts in this blog revolve around Asian dramas, movies and pop culture, so please proceed at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you. Haha! Have a wonderful and blessed day! :)

With holy week coming to an end as easter has come yesterday, a lot of you may be very busy enjoying a big trip away alone or together with friends and family, I have prepared a list of Korean male celebrities who are currently making waves in the Korean entertainment scene. Since year 2009 gave a whole lot of opportunities for idol groups, this post will be featuring a lot of male celebs who are idol group members. These days, they have evolved so much that it's not just the music scene they have conquered. They have also set foot in acting, modeling and in everything in between. Because I listen to KPop and I update myself once in a while of the different things happening in the K Industry, I have gathered inside scoops and recent updates on these eye-candies. Some of them may be familiar to you already, as they appear in various dramas and movies. Hopefully, you will get to know and familiarize other potential and rising K Superstars in mainstream KPop through this post. Brace yourselves because the second half of 2010 anticipates as early as now, the comeback of your favorite boy groups, who have taken their much deserved breaks until today. Furthermore, in order to avoid bias, and in order to avoid ravaging hate mails from fangirls or fanboys, knowing that most of them are from boy groups, this does not follow a particular order, except my top 3 picks. This is just my own opinion so it may be contrary to your opinion. I too have picked out these guys randomly too so,there you go. Ta-dahhh! ;p
KIM KI BUM (Super Junior)
He is an actor, a singer, and a multi-talented entertainer who is a member of the popular 13-member Korean boy group, Super Junior under SM Entertainment, alongside DBSK (Dongbangshinki), Girl’s Generation (Seo Nyu Shi Dae), ShiNee, and f(x). He was already a staple face in the Korean entertainment and modelling industry even before he joined Suju under SM Entertainment around 2004. He had his fair share of dramas, variety shows and movies before and after the debut days of Super Junior. Recently, he promoted his movie, which was a romantic comedy if I’m not mistaken. Since promoting their 3rd album, “Sorry, Sorry”, this cutie has veered away from the band for quite some time now, concentrating on his solo projects as an actor. However, his fellow Suju member, Ryeowook, in a recent radio interview said that Super Junior is currently back in the studios, working on their highly anticipated 4th album. Hopefully, when that time comes, he will return in full force, just like how he made the hearts of Suju fans flutter way back when. Although Shindong of Super Junior is the cutest and most adorable member in the group for me, I honestly think he has the cutest and most adorable face in the group. No offense to all the other members — they all have their attractions. Ki Bum is also good in English. That alone, is a plus point. Plus, he plays the piano well.
LEE MIN HO
Since I started watching Asian dramas, I haven’t been really a fan of actors playing wealthy, arrogant and self-centered characters. By far, “Hana Yori Dango” is the only manga I’ve read. And since then, I never fancied Go Jun Pyo’s character (or Tsukasa Domyoji in the manga) — not even once. I think the craze all started when the manga’s Taiwanese adaptation, “Meteor Garden” started to air in the Philippines, which made girls from all walks of life, smitten to none other than Jerry Yan’s character in the series. At first, it made me wonder if it was because of the hair or the skimpy sleeveless tops and skinny jeans. But then later on, when “Boys Over Flowers” came, I finally came to understand why girls find Lee Min Ho attractive. Well, he managed to pull of the role well. Jerry Yan did a breakthrough for his portrayal 9 years ago in 2001, and it made him a really famous actor. It was pretty much the same thing for Lee Min Ho since last year. He was able to show a fresh spin-off on that same character, which made all the ladies jump for joy. I personally think he has a wonderful smile. In the series, he never fails to exude his charm whenever he would tease and make the life of the female lead miserable; however, whenever he apologizes with a smile on top of bribing the girl with material stuff — it makes everything worthwhile. With his looks, plus a 185 cm height, he’s always good to go. His new series “Personal Taste” which also stars the ever-pretty Son Ye Jin, who they call as “The Queen of Korean Melodramas”, and Seulong from the boy group 2AM, will be premiering soon on the Korean TV station, MBC. Just to give you a glimpse on the plot of the drama, Lee Min Ho will be playing a character pretending to be a homosexual, in order to get close to Son Ye Jin’s character, who only befriends men who are ladyboys. I’ve seen the teaser, and it’s really funny. Watch it if you get the chance. Hopefully, it will give everyone a lot of laughs.
KEVIN WOO (U Kiss)
When I first looked at him, I honestly thought he was a girl. (Laughs...) When he parodied Jessica Jungof Girl's Generation in Star King, a TV show in Korea, I was like..."They really look like twins..." I guess a lot of people would say that he has feminine features so he is often mistaken as a girl. But nevertheless, I personally think he is cute. Kevin is part of the 7-member boy group U Kiss. He is of Korean descent but he hails from Los Angeles, and he is currently in Korea to try out his luck in the Korean music industry with a boy group. Formerly, he was a part of the boy group Xing, with Kim Hyung Joon's (SS501) younger brother Kim Ki Bum but then it quickly disbanded because of unfair contract terms. Kevin and Ki Bum are now members of U Kiss under NH Media. Recently, they have been to the Philippines for a promotional tour, and to do a number of mall shows in order to introduce their music to Filipino KPop fans. If I'm not mistaken, they also appeared in "Party Pilipinas", a TV show in the network GMA 7 a week ago. What makes U Kiss and Kevin shine among other idol groups? The answer, they know how to speak in English. Other notable members of the group like Alexander Lee Eusebio(at first I thought he was Filipino) and Eli(who is also included in this post) are part of the segment “All About You” in the show “Pops In Seoul” in the international cable channel Arirang, which is the only Korean channel that provides multilingual content to viewers all over the world.
ELI (U Kiss)
At first glance, Eli looks like a though guy. But after watching a couple of episodes in Pops In Seoul's segment All About You, my perception changed a lot. His bubbly and naturally happy, especially when he is around his co-host's Kevin and Alexander - they make the set of the TV show equally happy and bright. Honestly, it is becoming my Thursday habit. Whenever I find it difficult to sleep, I turn on the TV to Arirang and I watch their show. It's hilarious and they seem young boys who compete with each other in order to become the show's main MC. With the built and the height to boot, plus a really handsome face, I'm sure Eli has a long way to go. He has been participating in a lot of TV programs lately because he is fluent both in English, and his native tongue; nevertheless, let's hope he too will soar greater heights.
BRIAN JOO
Brian Joo is a Korean American who was born in Korea, and was raised in the United States. He then came back when he was a teenager to pursue a singing career in his homeland, in which he landed as a member of the renowned duo Fly To The Sky together with Fanny. The band enjoyed a great success until it disbanded recently, and both of them pursued solo careers. Brian released his latest album recently as a solo artist, and his career single “In My Head”, which is a remake of a Jason Derulo song instantly became a hit in music charts everywhere in Korea. Honestly, I think it was a good cover. When Jason Derulo eventually visited Korea recently, he performed together with Brian at KBS Music Bank and they did a good job. Brian is also part of the Arirang TV show Homey Korea, as he teaches those who are interested to speak Korean, useful and basic content that can be used in daily activities.
JOO JI HOON
Korea's very own prince charming will never be missed out in any eye-candy list as far as Goong fans are concerned. Since Goong, popularly known as Princess Hours aired in different countries across Asia, his fans have always treated him as their lovable crown prince. The series is one of my favorite dramas ever, probably next to Full House and Coffee Prince. Whenever I see Joo Ji Hoon on screen with Yoon Eun Hye, it always was a kilig moment. I think those who watched the series like me will understand what I am trying to say. He played as a really mean and harsh prince, but his meanness was forgivable because everytime he looked at his crown princess, his eyes always speak of a thousand words and it's cute to watch. It's mind blowing, but his asset is his eyes. Before starting out as an actor, he was already a model, which speaks a lot of why he has a good built. Last year, unfortunately, he was involved in a drug scandal with other notable celebrities, which eventually made him render hours of community service and made him sign up for the military. Hopefully, in a year or 2 years time, Joo Ji Hoon will start anew and be back with new projects for a second chance. Before going to the army, he had a series with the very sexy actress Shin Min Ah, and there were even rumors that they are dating. Whether it’s true or not, I hope he’s happy wherever he is.
THUNDER (MBLAQ)
Unknown to many, he is Sandara Park's (2ne1) younger brother, Park Sang Hyun, who’s often called Cheondoong, but more famous with the nickname “Thunder”. He recently debuted as part of the 5-member boy group MBLAQ(Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality)under J.Tune Entertainment, a company founded by none other than the man himself, who is considered to be Asia's Justin Timberlake, world star Jung Ji Hoon a.k.a. Rain. He does look a lot like his sister. In fact, I consider him the female version of Sandara. He is very close to his sister, and they often post pictures online in their cyworld pages together. Nevertheless, he is really a cutie. He dances and sings well too. And since he and his sister lived here for years, he is able to speak Tagalog and English. I don't know why, bu it's always a plus point for an Asian star to be able to do so.
KIM JAE JOONG (DBSK/TVXQ)
DBSK/TVXQ/THSK was one of the first boy groups to debut, after the glorious days of the longest running boyband in Korea, which was Shinhwa, under the same management company, SM Entertainment. DBSK/TVXQ is actually one of the most famous groups to date in the history of the Korean music scene in album and concert sales. In fact, they are the best-selling Korean group to ever debut in Japan, which made a number of hits straight to the top spot in the Oricon music charts consecutively. Jaejoong (Hero) is like one of the most popular and sought after male celebs in Korea, coming from a top boy group. He may not be the group leader, but he is always in the limelight because along with fellow member, Micky Yoochun, he does the lead vocals of the band. Years ago, whenever I would see DBSK/TVXQ videos, I always thought he looked like a girl. Most of the time, he appears with blonde hair, but I prefer him in black hair. I'm not quite sure what his charm is, but he is always an A-Lister in every crowd. Recently, he was spotted in Vancouver with flower-boy Kim Hyun Joong (SS501) on vacation. And after coming back to Korea, he was spotted watching the musical of Girl’s Generation’s resident Ice Princess, Jessica Jung, entitled “Legally Blonde”, and driving his Audi R8 around Seoul. With a car like that, and a spotlight to fame, Jaejoong is more than ready to conquer not just Korea, but also Japan with a new series coming up in pure Niponggo which is set to air in Japan pretty soon. He is not even Japanese, but in a recent survey in The Land of the Rising Sun, Jaejoong emerged victorious among all the other Japanese actors who were his contenders. Way to go Jaejoong! After the news broke out that DBSK will officially halt their group activities, fans were really shattered by the news. However, you will still be seeing him on TV as he will debut on an upcoming Japanese series which is currently on the works.
MINHO (ShiNee)
ShiNee is a 5-member boy group composed of Jonghyun, Onew, Key, Taemin and Minho. It is a boy group who debuted around 2008 under SM Entertainment. The same agency that handles a lot of popular KWave groups like DBSK (Dongbangshinki), Super Junior (Suju), Girl's Generation (Seo Nyu Shi Dae) and f(x). Out of the 5 members, although I think Onew has a good-looking face, I think Minho is the cutest amongst all. He is my favorite ShiNee member who is well-rounded not just in performing, but also in many different aspects like Sports and Academics. Girls traditionally like guys who doesn't just have the looks, but also the brain to match it. And Minho is just that. He recently graduated in High School with flying colors and was admitted to Konkuk University to study film and theater arts.
SONG JOONG KI
Almost three years ago, after watching the series “Triple”, I found Song Joong Ki really funny and hilarious. He was Min Hyorin's love interest in the show, and as I was watching one episode after the other, I was enjoying it more and more all because of him. Because I prefer funny scenes more than serious tear-jerkers, I always thought he is cute because he manages to make the scenes of the drama light and happy, and I like his character just the way it is. He portrayed it really well, and I enjoyed watching him. Since then, he has always been an eye-candy to me. No doubt about that. I was like, "You don't find a guy like him everyday." But of course, it was just a series. I was already losing interest in the plot, but his character really made me finish the series until the end. Recently, he was cast as a young doctor for the drama ObGyne, and it will be his first time acting in a serious role. I hope he will be successful. He also appears in KBS Music Bank as a host, and he is doing a great job. Two thumbs up Joong Ki!
SEULONG (2AM)
He has manly features, but he is more like you're average college guy who juggles both the campus life in a university, and his career both as a singer and an actor at the same time. Because I am an avid fan of We Got Married (a reality show in Korea), I get the chance to watch him together with his fellow band mate Jinwon, because they are MC's of the show. Seulong is a member of the 4-member boy group 2AMwho is acknowledged not because they actually are a boy band, but because of their vocal abilities, and their capability to really belt it. 2AM is the brother band of 2PM under the same agency JYP Entertainment, alongside Wonder Girls. You might have heard about the latter, who is more popular than the former because of their hot bods and danceable songs. But in terms of vocals, I must say 2AM has it. It's not that I don't like 2PM, it's just that 2AM's songs is more inclined to the genree I like, although I listen to almost everything that there is. He was recently casted as a lead in the drama "Personal Taste" along with Lee Min Ho and Son Ye Jin, as mentioned above, which will start airing soon.
KIM HYUN JOONG (SS501)
I made mention earlier in my description on Lee Minho that I am not really into guys who play the rich and spoiled brat characters in dramas, right? The reason behind that is due to the fact that since I had “Hana Yori Dango”, I have always liked Rui Hanazawa's character. You might be familiar of this character since many girls have fallen for Vic Zhou's character in the drama “Meteor Garden” as Hua Ze Lei, and of course, of Kim Hyun Joong's portrayal of Lei's Korean counterpart, Yoon Ji Hoo. A lot of girls would say they like Vic Zhou better in this role. Some also say they prefer Kim Hyun Joong. However, I personally think both of them did a great job, and that I was really into both of their characters. Ji Hoo is Geum Jan Di's saving grace everytime she's in trouble. He was the guy who never left her even when the reason of her existence (Jun Pyo) already did. He was the guy who made her realize that love isn't supposed to hurt you or to give you pain and misery. That love doesn't have to hurt you, and kill you bit by bit everytime the person you love hurts you — that love is supposed to make her feel happy. That it doesn't have to be returned. He loved her unconditionally, and he made her feel good about herself. He loved her for everything that she was, and for all the things that she was not. Hmmmp! Typing this makes me envious of Koo Hye Sun even more. (Laughs...) Who doesn't want a guy like him though. Kim Hyun Joong is not your typical "head over heels handsome" guy at first glance, but after a while, I started appreciating him even more. I don't understand why, but I always feel for characters like his - the ideal guy. Haha! Anyhow, this is just a side trip, but out of all the many many good-looking guys in the local and the international scene, much to my surprise, after my mom saw him on TV, he has been her crush, despite the fact that a lot of equally handsome and gorgeous male celebrities exist in the local and international scene. Kim Hyun Joong is the leader of the group SS501 under DSP Entertainment alongside girl band Kara. Since he appeared on BOF, he has been appearing in other commercials and advertisements recently, and was awarded the male star with the most endorsements in 2009 along with Olympian figure skater, Kim Yuna who is very pretty and talented too.
LEE HONG KI (FT Island)
After watching “You're Beautiful”, I fell in love not just with Jang Geun Suk and Jung Yong Hwa, but also Lee Hong Ki. I really love the series, and just recently, ABS-CBN announced they will be airing it soon on the network. It is about an all male idol group of 3 members consisting of Jang Geun Suk, Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Ki who is joined by a girl pretending to be a boy member, Park Shin Hye that makes them 4 all in all. You might have heard about this story, and although it sounds so 10 years ago, mind you, it's really worth watching at all. I was hooked on it, and I finished it in just half a day. It was really tiring in the part of my eyes, but it was all worth it. I enjoyed it, and after watching it, I suffered from a lot of the so-called “You're Beautiful withdrawal symptoms” so to speak. It's all about the things that can possibly happen whenever a girl joins an all boy group, plus the hilarious plot and the interesting love square, I must say. Lee Hong Ki is the main vocalist of the boy group FT Island, and recently, they were in the Philippines to promote their band and their music to KPop fans. They did perform on the hit noontime show “Showtime”, and I remember the show's resident judge Vice Ganda crawling in the stairs near the stage just to show her desire to get near the boys especially Hong Ki, in a very funny way though. In two words, Lee Hong Ki is funny and cute. He's the kind guy you might want to spend the rest of your Sunday afternoon with, say for instance, to chill and just chat. Or the guy you might want to bring in an amusement park for some rides, because he is always game for anything. I always wished I had a older brother, and I have always wanted to have a big brother who is just like him.
CHOI SIWON (Super Junior)
With a good family background, plus his good looks, height, and his chocolate abs to boot, there’s no stopping to Siwon’s ride to fame. He has always been on the spotlight for years as Super Junior’s resident prince charming. Since Suju’s debut, he has captivated not just the ELF’s (stands for “Everlasting Friends”, Super Junior’s Official Fans Club), but also fangirls from all ages. Whenever the 13 members of Super Junior would be seen together in a music video or in a TV appearance, most of the time, he is the one who gets noticed right away. Over the years, he has been dubbed as Super Junior’s pretty boy. His TV series “Oh! My Lady” has just aired, and it is receiving a lot of love from viewers of all ages. Just to give you a detail on the drama, he plays as a top actor who has everything that an A-List star could ever wish for, but is highly criticized because of his poor acting, despite his looks and his fame. He then meets a single parent, played by Chae Rim, who’s dubbed as “The Queen of Korean Romantic Comedies”, who will then become his manager and potential love interest. The very pretty Park Han Byul also plays as the pair’s distraction. I have seen the first episode over the net, and I must say, it’s really funny. I really enjoyed watching it, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming episodes. Even though the female lead is years older than him, she doesn’t look too old, and consequently, Siwon doesn’t look to young either. I was surprised on how they complemented each other. In fact, their chemistry is really something to watch out for. I’ve always enjoyed watching Chae Rim’s previous dramas, and even though this seems like her 10th attempt in the small screen in another romantic comedy yet again, she never fails to reinvent herself and show a new fresh side each time. If you liked “Full House”, I’m sure you will like this too. Watch it if you get the chance.
LEE DONGHAE (Super Junior)
Kim Ki Bum and Choi Siwon were mentioned in this post in the previous paragraphs respectively. Since Super Junior is a 13-member band and is currently the world’s largest boy band when it comes to number, I must say that this band will never limit you in terms of options. Even though they’re much like each other, each of them have different talents and potentialities, which make Super Junior a truly unique group unlike any other because they learn from each other and they have different attractions per se. I was skeptical with the group back when they debuted late 2005 because of their number which was in itself surprising and overwhelming. I was like, “With this many members, how long will they last?” But as years passed by, they have proven to be the boy group to beat in Asia. They’ve been to a lot lately but as long as there are elves everywhere, they will never experience trying to run for their monies. Donghae is one of Suju’s best dancers, and noted singers. He doesn’t sing the same pitch as Kyuhyun, Yesung or Ryeowook, nor choreograph dance routines in the same way as Shindong, Lee Teuk, Hankyung or Eunhyuk, but he himself is an asset to the group. Netizens would often call him as the “kind, sincere and gentlemanly” Super Junior member, even though he grew up without a father. He may not have Shindong’s delightful dimples, Siwon’s stunningly handsome face, Kang In’s built, Sungmin’s candidness, Heechul’s disposition or Ki Bum’s charm; but he has genuine heart and a passion in performing. I personally think he has the boy next door look who can totally pull off a shirt and a hoodie with tattered jeans and a pair of sneakers without looking so customary.
JANG GEUN SUK
Jang Geun Suk is a popular Korean actor who is one of the leads of the drama “You're Beautiful” alongside Lee Hong Ki, Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye. He has been a famous and a known actor in terms of acting skills since his debut as a child actor. Over the years, he has gained the support of fans because of his versatility and wit. Whether he is in a comedy, suspense-thriller, melodrama, action or romantic comedy, Jang Geun Suk never fails to impress everyone who watches his projects. When I watched “Beethoven Virus”, I was impressed with his acting. Similarly, when I saw him in “Hong Gil Dong”, I thought he was really good. When he signed up for the movie “Case of Itaewoon Homicide”, I saw a different side of him. He can play a wide range of roles from a man with a Bipolar Disorder to a guy who is a musical conductor, and a historical figure. When he did You're Beautiful, I was like, he can really pull off almost everything. When it's a heavy drama, it's strict drama. When it's an action or a suspense-thriller flick, it's really what it is. He has the makings of a good actor, and the way I see it, I must say he has a long way to go. I personally think he has a charming face, and he is also cute. Currently, he has been touring Asia, and he plans to visit the Philippines soon. I'm sure a lot of people are looking out for this. His chemistry with Park Shin Hye is awesome. I really think they look good together, and I want them to end up someday. (Laughs...) Either way, if he ends up with her or another girl in the future, I wish him all the happiness in this world and everything he could possibly wish for to come true.
KIM BUM
This guy needs no further introduction. He is Korean entertainment’s ultimate pretty boy. Wherever he goes, and whatever he does, he never fails to command attention. He has been very busy these days with a lot of work — dramas, movies, CFs and everything in between. He also recorded an album recently with 4 singles in it including the song “I'm Going Out To Meet Her”, a song in the OST of BOF which is dedicated to the coupledom of Yi Jeong (Kim Bum) and Ga Eul (Kim So Eun) in the series. He is not really earn a living as a singer, but he sings well after listening to him. He showed the fierce side of him in “Dream” with singer Son Dambi, and his well-known lighthearted side in ‘The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry” as a lead vocalist of a band who pursues an older woman he likes. In whatever path he takes, he's always successful. I personally think that he is charming to begin with, so everything is sailing smoothly for him. He showed a great chemistry with Kim So Eun in BOF, but it's sad to say they're just very good friends and classmates at JungAng University. He has gone a long way, and I'm sure he will continue what he started.
MY TOP THREE SPOTS FOR THIS POST GOES TO....
#3 JUNG YONG HWA (C.N.Blue)
I have said that Lee Hong Ki is the funny guy, right? And that Jang Geun Suk is the charismatic guy. So who then is Jung Yong Hwa? He is also a lead in the drama “You're Beautiful” along with the guys I have just mentioned. He is known as the "Towel Guy" of You're Beautiful after putting on a towel in Park Shin Hye's face to cover her eyes while all the dancers were all naked in the shower room which is supposed to be for males only. That's one of the many hilarious scenes in the drama, where a girl pretends to be a boy to join a famous idol band. Jung Yong Hwa is the lead singer of the 4-member alternative band, C.N.Blue, who debuted in Japan earlier, and later on in Korea late 2009. His stint in You're Beautiful have added to his band's popularity indeed. They have been enjoying a massive popularity in album sales and concerts recently, because of their hit "Alone/I'm A Loner", which has a catchy lyrics and melody. He is one talented guy. That's probably the reason why a lot of girls fall for him. He has a good singing voice plus he plays the guitar really well. His role in the drama became a sensation, which it made him really famous as an eye-candy. Netizens (a term coined for Net Citizens) have dubbed him as an "Ulzzang", which is a Korean term for the handsome guy. If you have been watching “We Got Married”, I'm sure you will agree with me, that he is handsome in and out. He radiates in every aspect, and his gentlemanly gestures will always amuse you as evidenced by his dedication to make his make-believe marriage to Girl's Generation's Seo Hyun work. Whenever I see the two in WGM, they make me smile. They really look good, and I like their fierce tandem so if you get the chance to watch the show, do so. It's really fun, and I'm already hooked so what's more to say. When news broke last month that he met an accident, it was enough to shake Korea that it made headlines in the net, and everyone was like, "I wish for his speedy recovery..." Turns out, he wasn't even hurt that much — false alarm. He reminds me a lot of Kim Hyun Joong not physically though, but because they play the much like the same characters in dramas — guys who would do everything just to make you feel loved, happy and cared for. The saving grace, and the shoulder to cry on in one awesome package.
#2 YUNHO (DBSK/THSK/TVXQ)
As the leader of the boy group Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK) or Tohoshinki(THSK/TVXQ), Jung Yunho (U-Know) has shown a quite strong and fierce image since then. In their music videos, my impression of him has always been the "tough one". As DBSK is a very popular group, it is only natural for him as leader to be popular too. He has the face, the built and the attitude. The attitude of a guy a girl would want as a boyfriend. He has been a boyfriend material for the last 7 years since DBSK's debut because for one, he is kind and generous. And because he is rich, he often donates to charity. He has been like this for quite some time now. Sharing his blessings to the unfortunate. Travelling to different places like Africa, to create an awareness among children on education, and he's been helping a lot of young people in Korea to go to school from his very own pocket. Talking about a good heart. With enough moolah from his earnings as a leader of a popular Kgroup, he's been giving much back to the less fortunate ones. A few months ago, I have finished watching “Heading To The Ground”, his first ever series as an actor, and he did a great job. He acted alongside pretty actress Go Ara, and more stars where he showed his versatility as a singer and an actor too. Just a bit of the drama: Yunho plays as an aspiring soccer player who has big dreams ahead of him, and auditions to become a K-Leaguer. I was impressed with him acting as a soccer player, even though he does not really earn a living as a soccer player in real life. Just today, it was reported courtesy of All Kpop that DBSK is officially disbanding and that the members will resume their activities as solo artists in the near future. It's such a waste; however, I think it's for the betterment of the individual members since their lawsuit against their agency SM Entertainment has not yet been settled officially. I hope to see him someday successful in whatever endeavor he chooses.
#1 NICKKHUN (2PM)
Whether it’s for a soda, a soju (a famous alcoholic beverage in Korea), a clothing line, or a telecommunications company; whether he is together with the 6 other members of the boy group 2PM under JYP Entertainment, or regardless if he is alone, Nickkhun always radiates in commercials and advertisements everywhere. True enough, he has the face that can launch a thousand ships, or a thousand endorsements so to speak, and he never fails to disappoint. He has been one of the blueprints of the advertising world lately. Dubbed as “Angel Khun”, the Korean Entertainment Industry sees him as the boy who has the perfect face and the perfect everything. Girls’ everywhere have their both eyes hooked on him, and I am not just talking about young teenage girls, but also ahjummas (middle-aged Korean women). In a recent pretty-boy survey, he defeated all the other actors and idol group members by a whopping lead of a hundred thousand votes. Since he has both roots from Korea and Thailand, he was recently appointed as the Ambassador of Korean Music to Thailand. I personally think that he is charming and that he has the most angelic face in the industry these days. I must admit, whenever I see a 2PM music video, or a live performance, or an appearance in a variety show, he always stands out among the rest. I must say, he truly lives up to his nickname. And his really adorable. Recently, I heard a rumor that he is going to appear on the 2nd season of “We Got Married” (a famous Korean reality show) with the spunky and hilarious 2ne1 member, Dara, as the show’s newest make-believe couple. Whether this is true or not, as early as now, I think the show’s ratings will skyrocket at the top combined with the Adam (Jo Kwon of 2AM and Ga In of Brown Eyed Girl’s) and Yongseo (Jung Yong Hwa of C.N.Blue and Seo Hyun of Girl’s Generation) couple’s powers. Another plus point: he speaks well in English too.
Not a lot of people know (or would even understand), but I am also a victim of drama obsession. I've been camping in dramalandia since I was 13 years old, and that's where you will most likely find me when I have nothing to do.
One of the symptoms of this disease is daydreaming about dramas everywhere whether you are at work, walking down the stairs, sleeping, even as you are walking...creepy isn't it? Hahaha!
I am also a big Asian music fan and I think Asian music rocks! I go back and forth from Cpop to Kpop and Jpop, so I may be different (and strange) compared to other people that you can find around. I am an elder sister , a dreamer , a believer , a gamer , wanderer , blogger , an optimist , an ultimate foodie and a, hands down, fangirl . I love reading books , writing , music , photography and traveling.
I am a nurse by profession who is also a copy editor and a freelance writer . I enjoy learning how to play musical instruments and learning various languages . I am crazy, loud, spontaneous, free-spirited and most of the time, a klutz.
Eren Asentista a.k.a. Eray, 23, female, from Dumaguete City, Philippines. My personality...it's complicated. :D Believe me, you wouldn't want to know who I am. Hahaha! XD
I am currently watching...
In the coming days, I plan to watch...
In Asian Entertainment, I fancy...
(This is still lacking, but this is more or less it. LOL! I will most likely be updating this in the future to accommodate my growing list of biases but check em out!)
The things that I want to do before I die are the following:
An Asian cruise. Templestay in Korea. An African safari adventure. Backpacking to Europe. Traveling through the European railways.
