Who am I? I am a screwed-up blogger and an active blog reader since 2007. A soulful dreamer who believes that passion is life and a person who is looking for meaning, just like any other human being in this world. A super girl wannabe who is currently taking chances and chasing pavements, while keeping up with time and living life in general. This is me, and this blog is the outlet of my random thoughts. (^___^)
Most of the posts in this blog revolve around Asian dramas, movies and pop culture, so please proceed at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you. Haha! Have a wonderful and blessed day! :)

I was trying to studying metabolism and cellular aberration only to end up playing this song over and over again. It's from Gina Choi (otherwise called G.na), an up and coming singer from Cube Entertainment, who is set to debut in a line-up of Korean music programmes this week, starting from Music Bank today, Music Core tomorrow (Saturday), and finally Inikagayo the next day (Sunday). This might be her debut album, but she is definitely not a newbie to the music industry, because she has been training for quite a while now. In Korea, in order to become a singer, one has to become a trainee first. Before becoming an official idol, an aspiring star must undergo years of training in different areas like singing, dancing, acting, and even learning different kinds of languages like English, Chinese and Japanese among others. It is a prerequisite in most entertainment agencies primarily because of the emergence of the Hallyu Wave (Korean Wave) over the years. Because Korean actors and singers have gained varying degrees of popularity in various Asian countries and the rest of the world (be it in dramas, movies, or songs), a singer-to-be has to have the capacity to reach out to fans from different cultures. Most idol stars today went through the same thing before stepping on the limelight. But in Gina's case, she spent her "initiation stage" as I call it, quite longer compared to her colleagues.
She was set to debut as a lead singer in a girl group called "Five Girls" in 2005, but that never happened because the group's then company had financial issues at that time. The notable members of this girl group project used to include Wonder Girls member Yubin, T-ara's Jiwon (who quitted a few months after a T-ara's debut), After School's UEE, and Secret's Hyosung, who all debuted earlier than her in the aforementioned girl groups. In 2008, they disbanded and each member moved to different agencies. She then trained for JYP Entertainment (famous for helming the music career of World Star Rain and currently houses popular groups like Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM and recently, Miss A). A while back, it was known that she moved to Cube Entertainment alongside rising groups 4 Minute and Beast, who both came to the Philippines not to long ago.
It looks like Gina's long wait for the start of her music career is finally over. A few days ago, she released her title track "What I Want To Do Once I Have A Lover", which features the vocals of none other than the man himself, Rain (Real Name: Jung Ji Hoon). This girl should really hold on tight. Looks like her road to fame is starting on the right track. Her former band mates might have enjoyed the limelight before her; however, because she's coming out as a solo singer this time, her debut is more promising as ever, without the extra baggage.
Recently, Cube Entertainment released a teaser featuring Beast member Yoon Doojoon in Gina's upcoming music video. It can be viewed at:
By the way, she was also featured in one of 2PM's older videos, "10 Points Out Of 10". Here it is:
Not a lot of people know (or would even understand), but I am also a victim of drama obsession. I've been camping in dramalandia since I was 13 years old, and that's where you will most likely find me when I have nothing to do.
One of the symptoms of this disease is daydreaming about dramas everywhere whether you are at work, walking down the stairs, sleeping, even as you are walking...creepy isn't it? Hahaha!
I am also a big Asian music fan and I think Asian music rocks! I go back and forth from Cpop to Kpop and Jpop, so I may be different (and strange) compared to other people that you can find around. I am an elder sister , a dreamer , a believer , a gamer , wanderer , blogger , an optimist , an ultimate foodie and a, hands down, fangirl . I love reading books , writing , music , photography and traveling.
I am a nurse by profession who is also a copy editor and a freelance writer . I enjoy learning how to play musical instruments and learning various languages . I am crazy, loud, spontaneous, free-spirited and most of the time, a klutz.
Eren Asentista a.k.a. Eray, 23, female, from Dumaguete City, Philippines. My personality...it's complicated. :D Believe me, you wouldn't want to know who I am. Hahaha! XD
I am currently watching...
In the coming days, I plan to watch...
In Asian Entertainment, I fancy...
(This is still lacking, but this is more or less it. LOL! I will most likely be updating this in the future to accommodate my growing list of biases but check em out!)
The things that I want to do before I die are the following:
An Asian cruise.
Templestay in Korea.
An African safari adventure.
Backpacking to Europe.
Traveling through the European railways.
