Who am I? I am a screwed-up blogger and an active blog reader since 2007. A soulful dreamer who believes that passion is life and a person who is looking for meaning, just like any other human being in this world. A super girl wannabe who is currently taking chances and chasing pavements, while keeping up with time and living life in general. This is me, and this blog is the outlet of my random thoughts. (^___^)
Most of the posts in this blog revolve around Asian dramas, movies and pop culture, so please proceed at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you. Haha! Have a wonderful and blessed day! :)

People just can't get enough of the "Soeul" (coined for SO YI JEONG [Kim Bum] and CHU GA EUL [Kim So Eun]) Couple (well yes, including me =;) who gave the 3rd live version of the manga "Hana Yori Dango", in the drama "Boys Over Flowers", a new twist to the original plot by spicing things up in their supporting love story. Fans of the manga, the series, and even those who have watched it out of curiosity, were delighted to see how their effortless and natural chemistry does wonders, by getting viewers hooked after every episode, eventually making the latter wish a happier ending for the two of them.
In literature, whenever the story ends; the story has to end. Although most movies and dramas result to happy endings, it is also a given that not all stories have to end like that all the time. This reminds me of my literature teacher who always stressed this out whenever we read and critiqued a handful of literary work ranging from novels, poems, short stories, essays, and everything that there is to read in the name of literature. Sometimes, things don’t go our way, and things don’t always turn out as planned. In the real world, that’s pretty much true. Somehow, a lot of people feel that there was too little emphasis in the way things ended for Yi Jeong and Ga Eul.
When it was officially announced by Group Eight and KBS that a four-part music drama featuring the four F4 members will be released, showing what could possibly happen in their respective lives five years from now, a number of people were thrilled as to what to expect from it. More news came in, and when the pictures were released over the internet, I was already anticipating that I would be able to see an innovative storyline of all the boys. And if it's not that much to ask, perhaps new additions or characters to the story since Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Joon's characters had no love sub-stories when the drama ended.
And so surprise surprise, I thought it should be interesting to watch. But after Mnet released the first half containing the first 2 episodes of Kim Bum and Kim Joon respectively, I was slightly disappointed because it seems that all I see are the flashbacks from the drama. I even thought Kim So Eun will appear in Kim Bum's episode. It was just her voice in the end, but it wasn't really hers. Somebody did it for her instead. So, when the 2nd half was released, I wasn't surprised how Kim Hyun Joong's episode was. I kind of guessed that beforehand, and so it turned out the way I expected it to be. He was still stuck with Jan Di, with all the flashbacks in the drama. For the last episode, starring Lee Min Ho, flashbacks were inevitable. And so I guessed it right, Koo Hye Sun didn't partake in the filming as well. Since the drama ended with a proposal, I was expecting that five years later, they'll be married. But I didn't seem to see it.

Now that Boys Over Flowers has ended, there has been a lot of buzz in forums all over various K-Pop sites to see more of Kim Bum and Kim So Eun together in a drama or in a movie in the future. I think it's a pretty good idea. They' still see each other in school though, but it would be better to see them again, in a movie or a series. With endorsements left and right, and projects lined-up for both of them, they are working in separate directions at the moment for different commitments. Kim So Eun has a movie called "Fourth Period Murder Mystery" and a series going on at KBS World entitled "The Man Who Can't Get Married". She snagged endorsements recently like Poccari Sweat, Clean & Clear and J.Estina. Not to mention her Samsung Anycall "Bodyguard" add with Kim Bum, and of course, their Bonjuk adds together. Kim So Eun also appeared in Eight's "Goodbye My Lover" video and graced the cover of "Singles" Magazine Korea recently. On top of it all, she was appointed Ambassador for the Youth in films, movies and televisionrecently in her home shores. With those milestones under her belt, looks like this girl has a long way to go. She's just starting out, now everyone wants to have a piece of her.
Kim Bum on the other hand is stealing the spotlight of Korea's commercial industry, alongside Lee Min Ho, who's now labeled as Korea's King of Commercials. He got a contract with Kia Motors, Spris, Samsung Anycall, and Samsung's Haptic Mission. He is almost done with the movie "Flight"with Kim Byul, and is busy filming the series "Dreams" with Son Dambi. More and more great things have opened up with the Soeul Couple. With the two of them dominating the CF industry, it would not be an understatement to say that they are the blueprints of commercials these days.

Meanwhile, here are pictures from their Bonjuk adds.
NOTE: They still have a year contract with this so expect to see more adds with them together in the com
ing months before their contract expires. It's one of the projects wherein people will be able to see them together again until next year.

Wave 2 of Kim Bum and Kim So Eun's Bonjuk add
Meanwhile, YKT, who authors the blog http://kimsoeun.blogspot.com found this case study. Kim Bum and Kim So Eun has matching and identical rings. See for yourself in these pictures. It looks really familiar. :)
On the other hand, azngirly2005 made a special tribute consisting of 4 videos as of the moment called "Moirai" Mini Movies. I was browsing in YouTube one day, and I saw these set of videos she made. Among all the other uploads about Kim Bum and Kim So Eun, her masterpiece stood up of all, I have even included it in my favorites in that site. You go and check it out for yourself. They are all over YouTube at the moment. With it's innovative storyline, it's almost like a new plot especially made for fans, and it's like a real mini-movie, that I could not wait any longer for the 5th installment of it, since the makers said it's already on the works. They are still uncertain with regards to when they will stop making videos for the compilation as of now, but I will definitely look out for the next videos to come. With a lot of catchy and equally interesting songs embeded in the mini movies from various K-Pop artists and other Asian singers from Taiwan and Japan, the movie is good to go. With nice transitions (I wonder what the editing software is) and equally interesting twists, I think this is the best Soeul tribute ever. Watch out for Kim Joon and Lee Min Jung's interesting sub-plot in the mini-movie too (yes, Ha Jae Kyung). Nice idea to include them. Who knew, they'd look good together? Another prospect for a future project. I just hope Korean film producers and directors would see this wonderful compilation and think about it. Who knows, right?
Moirai
Here's the synopsis:
PART ONE Moirai - The inescapable Destiny of Man.
Chu GaEul is the grand-daughter of a rich tycoon; So YiJeong a hardworking teenager. He happens to stumble upon her while making some quick money only to find out she wanted to leave the moment he got off shift. Spending a night together with heartfelt conversations, GaEul grows an infatuation that soon spread onto YiJeong also. Knowing the challenges ahead, the two fend themselves in an issue of riches and power. Facing distinct words such as..."You two were not destined for each other."
PART TWO "This is not how it will end... I promise."
The rich grand-daughter, Chu GaEul, accepted her fate and chose to never encounter herself with So YiJeong again. That is...until she unexpectedly bumped into him during an auction her grand-father took her too. Ignoring So YiJeong he unknowingly began taking care of her from afar to ease his pain, leading troublesome outcomes. GaEul's Grandfather found himself another opportunity and embraces it, only to find more of the reason to keep Chu GaEul away from So YiJeong.

PART THREE "This is your birthday present So YiJeong."
Trying to accept everything as unpainfully as possible, YiJeong tries his best to shove himself away from memories, pain and love. GaEul's concern has him stuck on her mind completely, seeking anyway to understand what's really happening to him and his actions. She finds the answer after a heart wrenching meeting that soon has YiJeong become isolated away from everyone for an unknown reason. Begging for help, GaEul seeks Song WooBin and Yoon JiHoo who willingly help with no if's, and's, or but's. GaEul's stress gets to her, realizing she'll only be living a one-sided love...or can someone else possibly be receiving the same feeling?
After constantly running and hiding for the past year, So YiJeong realizes it can't be this way forever. With the helping hand of several characters the two "fates" cross paths again, again and again. All times unnoticed of each's presence. Feeling like he needed space, YiJeong ran away once again taking a brief breather, only to once again face "fate." Song Woobin strode the past year with his emotions only escalating. Unknown to him there's another doing just the same.
Not a lot of people know (or would even understand), but I am also a victim of drama obsession. I've been camping in dramalandia since I was 13 years old, and that's where you will most likely find me when I have nothing to do.
One of the symptoms of this disease is daydreaming about dramas everywhere whether you are at work, walking down the stairs, sleeping, even as you are walking...creepy isn't it? Hahaha!
I am also a big Asian music fan and I think Asian music rocks! I go back and forth from Cpop to Kpop and Jpop, so I may be different (and strange) compared to other people that you can find around. I am an elder sister , a dreamer , a believer , a gamer , wanderer , blogger , an optimist , an ultimate foodie and a, hands down, fangirl . I love reading books , writing , music , photography and traveling.
I am a nurse by profession who is also a copy editor and a freelance writer . I enjoy learning how to play musical instruments and learning various languages . I am crazy, loud, spontaneous, free-spirited and most of the time, a klutz.
Eren Asentista a.k.a. Eray, 23, female, from Dumaguete City, Philippines. My personality...it's complicated. :D Believe me, you wouldn't want to know who I am. Hahaha! XD
I am currently watching...
In the coming days, I plan to watch...
In Asian Entertainment, I fancy...
(This is still lacking, but this is more or less it. LOL! I will most likely be updating this in the future to accommodate my growing list of biases but check em out!)
The things that I want to do before I die are the following:
An Asian cruise. Templestay in Korea. An African safari adventure. Backpacking to Europe. Traveling through the European railways.
